Bookkeeper/Office

Bookkeeper Food processing facility in Newman, CA is currently looking for a skilled bookkeeper to join our team. We offer medical insurance paid at 100% for the employee and dependents. Also, we offer a 401(K) retirement plan. The bookkeeper reports to the controller and owner. The individual will be responsible for maintaining financial records for multiple companies, including (but not limited to) purchases, sales, receipts and payments. Bookkeeper job duties include working closely with our accounting/sales team. We have an established extensive accounting software. Duties and Responsibilities - Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and ensure that all invoices are paid accurately. - Manage the processing of cash receipts, recording revenue and receivables and work closely with all functions to ensure that revenues and receivables are reconciled at any given time. - Oversee and ensure all property tax filings, tax filings and payroll tax filings are correct. - Review and manage payroll for all employees across multiple companies. - Assist management with any accounting issues/questions and financial reports. - Review and ensure accuracy of multiple companies invoicing. - Process semi-monthly payroll for all employees across multiple companies. - Receptionist for front office and facility guests. - Perform other duties as needed. Skills & Competencies - Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and payable/receivable principles. - Extensive experience with data entry, record keeping and computer operation. - Experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software. - High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word. - Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload in order to meet tight deadlines. - Ability to wear multiple hats and multitask. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - A team player who can collaborate with other teams in the organization. - Interpersonal skills and go-getter - Knowledge and ability to use applicable information technology and systems to meet work needs. - Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues at all levels. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
